The Snail and The Snail Counter-Move

The Snail is a staple of any Fistaroo-giver’s arsenal. It’s quick, it’s humorous, and it looks exactly like it’s namesake when done correctly. Just follow these easy steps, perhaps practice a few times, and you’ll be ready to snail your social opponent in a heartbeat!

Figure A. represents the standard offering of a fist for a bump. (Images coming soon)

Figure B. shows the path of motion to follow. Once the fist has been presented, the object is to make your own fist, and then fake out your rival by acting like you’re about to “pound it”. At the last second, divert your trajectory so you slide your fist just underneath your unsuspecting foe’s. (Images coming soon)

Figure C. shows the final step of the process: Once your fist is successfully underneath your adversary’s, form a “peace sign” with your index and middle fingers, raising them to roughly a 45 degree angle. Once complete, announce your victory by uttering the phrase of your enemy’s demise: “Snail!” (Other variations include “The Snail!”, or “Fistaroo’d!”) (Images coming soon)

-The comeback-

As with just about anything, there is a defense (or comeback, combo-breaker, etc) for this move. Assuming the role of the newly-Snailed party:

Figure D. shows the completed Snail, and no doubt your opponent will be reveling in their apparent victory. To counter this, simply add a new fist of your own over “The Snail” and shout your victorious comeback, “Salted!”. You have now rendered “The Snail” void. Congratulations, Fister! You’re truly on your way to greatness! (Images coming soon)
